Originally from Nepal, Dr Gurung completed his GP training in the UK in 2020 and has been working in general practice in Nottinghamshire. Shishir has relocated to Adelaide, and while he is a fully qualified and experienced GP, he will be working under close supervision for his first six months here as he becomes familiar with the Australian health system. This supervised period is part of the formal recognition process for overseas-trained GPs and will ensure a smooth and supported transition.
