Our Billing Policy and Fees (July 2024)
* fees may be subject to change
Bulk Billing is when your doctor significantly discounts your attendance fee to accept only the Medicare rebate.
Pensioners and Health Care Card Holders are Bulk Billed, as are children under 16 years of age; all other patients will have an out-of-pocket expense. We charge below the AMA recommended fee.
- Full payment on the day will help us keep costs down, and we appreciate your help with this
- Additional fees may apply for investigations or other services performed.
- Telehealth Appointments – If you have attended the practice within the last 12 months you will eligible for a Medicare rebate. We have the same fee schedule for ‘phone consults as for in person attendances. We can collect your credit card details before your consult, then process payment and lodge Medicare Claim after your consult. Scripts, Referrals and Medical Certificates can be sent to you electronically.
- Chronic Disease Management Plans – are bulk billed for all patients
Our staff can lodge your Medicare claim for telehealth or in-person attendances electronically, and your refund can be paid directly to your bank account.
*Our surgery is very mindful of particular cases where payment of fees may cause hardship; we hope you will feel comfortable in advising our staff if you are having difficulty with our accounts – doctors have discretion to extend the courtesy of bulk billing in appropriate situations.
